Need someone to call a hospital in China for you?
Most Chinese hospitals answer the phone in Mandarin only, and the reception you reach is often not the department that decides anything. A call in Chinese gets you a straight answer on whether they see foreign patients, which department to go to, what to bring and what it will cost.

Emergency Rescue — $59. One stuck call, made in Chinese, reported back to you in English.

What I can do on the phone
- Whether a department sees foreign patients at all, and on which days
- How registration works there — walk-in queue (现场挂号) or an appointment booked in advance
- Which documents they want to see: passport, insurance card, referral, previous scans or reports
- Rough cost range, and whether they want payment up front in cash or by WeChat Pay / Alipay
- Whether the hospital has an international clinic or VIP ward, and what it costs to use it
- Confirming, moving or cancelling an appointment you already have
- Asking for a department’s address and which entrance to use for outpatients
What this doesn't cover
- No medical advice. I’m not a medical professional and I don’t interpret symptoms, test results, scans or treatment options — I only pass your questions to the hospital and their answers back to you.
- I don’t book or pay for treatment. Any medical bill is between you and the hospital.
- In an emergency, call 120 for an ambulance. 120 is free from any phone in China and reaches an ambulance dispatch directly. Don’t wait for me.
How it works
- Send me the hospital name (Chinese characters help), your location, and the exact question you need answered.
- I call in Chinese, get through the phone menu, and talk to whoever actually handles that department or that booking.
- You get the answer in English — what they said, what they want you to bring, and what to do next.
Questions people ask before paying
No — and I won’t guess. I’m not a doctor, so I don’t give medical advice or interpret symptoms, scans or results. What I can do is make sure the hospital understood your question and that you understood their answer.
Usually yes, as long as I call as your assistant with your name and booking details. Some hospitals ask for a passport number before they’ll look anything up, so I’ll tell you exactly what they ask for.
If someone is seriously ill or injured, call 120 yourself — it’s free, immediate, and going through me only adds delay. I handle the calls around it: rescheduling an appointment, asking what documents a department needs, following up on a bill.
